Our Choices and Challenges

As we come to the end of this decade, Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority has continued to improve its image locally and nationally.
Our national program has grown rich, fruitful and rewarding with each chapter's participation on the local level. As Sorors, we are committed to the ideals of Sisterhood, Achievement, Scholarship and Service.

Based on prior choices and challenges, we as women must face up to who we are, what we do, and why we volunteer our services to all mankind. We must respect ourselves and respect the rights of others. The choice is ours for the taking, and it is up to us as a Sorority to accept the challenges of tomorrow by becoming more outspoken about the injustices inflicted on black people. Our Sorority must lead the way to prove to all that we are highly skilled and intelligent women able to select from among the choices presented to us and accept whatever challenges we may encounter in the next decade.

Now that my term of office is over as your National First Anti Basileus, I can reflect on the continuous improvement of our great Sorority and envision the future structuring and restructuring of Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority by developing the powerful collective force needed to affect the kind of social progress needed today and tomorrow.
