An assessment of progress will reveal that the present Administration has not fulfilled all campaign promises and can not fulfill adequately these promises. Controlling powers in Washington have seen to that and this is no extraordinary circumstance. No administration has delivered everything.
All to often we look at the undelivered items and fail to recognize the reality of what has been accomplished.
Lest we forget, there have been advances in equal employment and credit opportunities for women, more cabinet level positions and Federal judgeships for women than ever before, appointments of an appreciable number of minorities in decision making positions, tax cuts by billions, a fifty percent reduction in Federal deficit spending and successful preservation of peace, yet strengthening our defense capabilities.
On his record, President Carter deserves to be re-elected to lead us during the eighties.
