As our society becomes more complex, a larger and larger proportion of key decisions have made through the political processes. Black women's organizations like the Epicureans have and are looking at how these decisions affect them, personally, socially, physically, and educationally. We can no longer sit back and let others make these decisions for us. We must get involved locally which will have an impact nationally in the political processes so that our voices, all 330 members, can be heard.

With the new leadership in the White House, we must follow closely how the suggested cuts and elimination of programs will affect the black community.

In keeping with the emphasis that "we are our brother's keeper," the close ties of friendship, respect and sisterly love stands out and continually grows with the increase of chapters in our illustrious family.
