OBITUARY

VICTOR A. COLLYMORE

Services for Victor A. Collymore, 54, former assistant fire commissioner, will be held noon Monday in St. Ambrose Church, 9 W. 130th St., Harlem. He died last Monday in his home after a heart attack. Collymore was praised by outgoing Fire Commissioner Augustus Beekman as an "effective, trustworthy and dedicated official." Collymore, who was a World War II fighter pilot and a 28-year veteran of the department, was head of the community relations division when he retired last summer. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Olive Collymore; a brother, Marsden, and a son, Victor.
