The 1980 Convention of the 369th Veterans' Assn., according to the general consensus, was the best yet. Theodore Edwards, Mrs. Edwards, and the others responsible for smooth coordination of all various logistical arrangements are to be commended. Earl Jackson's IGT Travel Service remained on top of the situation splendidly, ably assisted by volunteers from the various districts.

The Hotel Regence Hyatt of Montreal was beautiful and well appointed and the food was plentiful and well served.

The business sessions came off as per schedule and ended without undue overtime. Delegates made their appearances on time and in proper uniform and went about the Association's business briskly and intelligently. National Officers, Committee Chairmen and District Presidents read their reports to the assembly and there were discussions on these where indicated. Copies of reports are available at District and National headquarters for members' perusal.
Among the highlights of the stay was the Convention Banquet. Ladies and gentlemen alike were resplendent on formal attire. We were welcomed, on behalf of the Canadian Government, by the Hod. Jean Fournier, of the Department of Trade, Commerce & Tourism of Quebec.

Another highlight was the presentation of the Associations Service Award to Thomas A. Carey for his long and faithful service as National Assistant Treasurer, with President William K. DeFossett making the presentation.

Life Members were introduced and recognized by Admin. Vie Pres. Kenneth Myles.

The evening's high pong came with the introduction of the Dinner's Guest Speaker, the Hon. Bruce McM. Wright. Judge, Civil Court,New York, who proceeded with a speech that was extremely timely and informative as well as well spiced with humor. So many listeners indicated desire for copies of the speech that arrangements have been made for a reasonable number to be available at District Headquarters.

Invocation and Benediction were pronounced by the Rev. Carl B. Taylor, National Chaplain.

Musical Interlude was rendered by Wilbert Blakeney, Bronx Dist., accompanied by Ms. Sylvia L. Williams, Hostess Committee.

John H. Hamilton, Jr., National Exec. Vice President was Master of Ceremonies.

Live entertainment and dancing followed.

On Sunday, October 12th a beautifully programmed Interdenominational Service was held, with Rev. Carl B. Taylor as celebrant, Wilbert Blakeney, soloist; Ms. Sylvia Williams accompanist and the fine Bible Way Choir of Montreal, Keith Mulcare, Director.
The service was inspirationally enjoyed by a capacity congregation of members of guests.
