[[caption]] "BLACK PERSPECTIVES IN THE ARTS" PRESENTED BY "THE FIRST WATER" — "The First Water," a non-profit organization that brings together various ethnic groups for the purpose of developing, sharing and exposing their skills in the arts, recently presented a media collage called "Black Perspectives in the Arts" at the Symphony Space Theatre, New York City. Over 100 artists, patrons, and government officials and other notables were guests at a reception, held immediately after the performance in the spacious apartment of Noel DaCosta, one of the composers featured in "Black Perspectives in the Arts." Narrator of the performance was well-known theatre, film and TV actor Moses Gunn. The multi-media show encompassed dancers, pianists, singers, writers, painters, sculptors, poets and photographers, in filmed and live performances.
