The Jackie Robinson Foundation/Chesebrough-Pond's Scholarship Program was established in 1973 to help high school graduates in Stamford, Connecticut to finance their college education. Since then, the program has grown to include students from Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

In 1982, there will be a total of 16 scholars attending schools such as: Northeastern; William & Mary; Cornell; University of Illinois; Morehouse; Morris Brown; Clark; Columbia; California State; William Patterson and UCLA.

These scholars are outstanding examples of the Jackie Robinson Foundation/Chesebrough-Pond's commitment to developing the potential of minority and disadvantaged youths.
