John Hunter Camp Fund, Inc.
Sunday, June 14, 1982 at Holiday Inn

The John Hunter Camp Fund, Inc., is conceiving and constructing a cultural and social program focusing on the historic and current values of blacks in American today.

The "Bob" Douglas Hall of Fame is the symbolic niche for the enshrinement of the great sports pioneers of the past, both living and dead, whose sterling contributions have been largely ignored.

The Hall brings the past into sharp focus and links it firmly with the present excellence of the Black Athletes of Today. The Hall should inspire us to revere our heroes, share their exploits, sorrows and ultimate success.

The purpose of the Luncheon is two-fold - to increase the awareness of black history, to reinforce, broaden and carry the roots of ethnic identity deeper into the meaning of everyday existence and to provide scholarships to send youngsters of the Inner City to Camp.

We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to this year's inductees and honorees for making a glorious contribution to history.

We extend to each and every one of you, our very sincere appreciation. We thank you for believing in us which is evidenced by your loyal support. You support has made it possible for us to continue.

We hope to develop in young people and their families a sense of real worth. A sense that: who we are, and what we can do - truly matters.

As we face the future, we hope for vision to behold and embrace many brighter tomorrows.

All proceeds will go to provide Scholarships to send youngsters of the Inner City to camp.
