In 1918, she married Kenneth W. DeFossett. From this union were two sons, Joseph and William. Kenneth W. DeFossett passed in May of 1955.

She was a devoted and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Because of her outgoing personality, she made many friends over the years. Many of her children's contemporaries looked upon her affectionately as "MOM".
