The banquet was also attended by many of our members who have relocated to other parts of the country. Col. John Silvera (Bx), Harry Burney (Bx), Louis Batson (Qns), Oscar Austin (Qns), Arthur Pryde, Jr., (Qns), Harold Williams (Bklyn), Richman Manhertz (NJ), Leonard Butler (NJ) and Eugene Simmons (West), all reside in various parts of Florida. Myrtle Rhoden, former National Vice President came from Charlotte, N.C., and her friend Mary Cooper from Chicago, Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Newton (NJ) came from Laneboro, MA.

At the conclusion of the formal banquet festivities, ladies in their beautiful evening gowns and men in formal attire enjoyed the rest of the evening dancing to the music of Abe and his House Rockers (a Florida group). Congresswoman Chisholm who felt the beat, left the dais and really showed us how to "boogie down."
