COMMUNICATIONS EXCELLENCE TO BLACK AUDIENCES
CEBA

Just four years ago, an Awards program that honored those advertising agencies, corporations, and individuals who communicated positive images to the Black community was non-existent. A kernel of an idea--The CEBA Awards for Communications Excellence to Black Audiences--has blossomed into a flowering reality, full of rewarding, exciting experiences for all of us.

CEBA extends this award to advertisers and individuals who recognize the value of human dignity, cultural differences and ethnic pride, and says to Black consumers we understand who you are, how you live and where you're coming from.

This has become possible only because of your understanding, encouragement, and unending support. In each successive year of our existence, the number of participants has grown tremendously on every level of our presentation--from the increasing number of entries and judges to the prestigious number of guests at our CEBA Awards Dinner.

And we know we're on the right track because you tell us so and the Black community tells us so.

To you, our friends, we offer our gratitude for your determined efforts and continued cooperation in our past, present, and future endeavors to make CEBA the cornerstone of quality, inspiration and achievement in the increasingly profitable and challenging Black consumer market.

Tonight's theme is "The Black Man," who continues to provide the spiritual and emotional fortitude necessary to accomplish the ever-expanding goals in today's society.

Again, our heartfelt thanks.
