ICBO's major services are listed below.

1. Identifies and evaluates business opportunities, including firms available for acquisition as well as opportunities for new businesses and for expansion of existing minority firms. Advises minority entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs of such opportunities.

2. Evaluates business proposals brought to ICBO by minority men and women seeking assistance.

3. Helps minority entrepreneurs develop feasibility studies and detailed business plans for new businesses, and market expansion plans for existing firms.

4. Helps minority entrepreneurs obtain capital from private sector and governmental sources to finance new ventures, for acquisitions, or for expansion. 

5. Provides ongoing management and market development assistance to client businesses.

6. Through management training programs, provides courses to minority group members in fundamentals of business operation, and specialized seminars relating to specific aspects of business operation.

In general, ICBO focuses on minority ventures which involve capital of $500,000 or more and have annual gross sales potential of $1 million or more. ICBO's services are provided by its professional staff and by volunteer consultants from the corporate sector.
