The Flint, Michigan Chapter was chosen "Outstanding Chapter of the Year" by the National Association of Media Women, Inc. at the 17th Annual Convention held at the Sheraton-Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta. At the President's Luncheon during the 17th Annual Convention of the National Association of Media Women, Inc. held at the Sheraton-Atlanda Hotel, Atlanta, National President Ella Kay Mays, Beverly Hills, presents the organization's Certificate of Appreciation to Rev. Rhea E. Callaway, New York City, National FOunder. Accepting for Rev. Callaway are members of the Metropolitan New York Chapter, the Founding Chapter. Morrison, manager of Black Consumer Markets for the Coca Cola Co; Dorothy Brunson, owner of WIGO radio station and Charles Wright, Manager of Market Development for Eastern Airlines. A Special Achievement Award went to the Turner Broadcasting Co., Cable TV, for its contributions to women and minorities in the communication field which was received by Turner vice-president Bob Wussler.
