A View of Atlanta...

Atlanta's fabulous airport attests to the vision, courage and ingenuity of a Black Mayor of this city, who worked untiringly to help build this Gateway to the South. In accomplishing this, Maynard Jackson established a level of Minority Business Participation that has seldom been exceeded.

It is difficult to speak of Atlanta without thinking of Henry Aaron. For it was in this city at the Atlanta Fulton County Stadium that Aaron broke Babe Ruth's home run record, smashing his way into the pages of immortality. The unfolding history of Atlanta is highlighted by the birth and life of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His birth home and gravesite have become major attractions for visitors and travelers from all parts of the world.

To its right are the towers of Peachtree Center, a $200-million office, retail, entertainment and dining complex. At the extreme right is The Atlanta Center Ltd. complex that includes offices, retail and business establishments and the Atlanta Hilton Hotel.

The tall buildings to the left of the Peachtree Plaza Hotel cluster around Five Points (where five streets converge), the city's financial hub.[[/caption]]
