CARL WARE is Vice President of Urban Affairs, The Coca-Cola Company.

Mr. Ware joined the Company in 1974 as an urban and governmental affairs specialist in the Corporate Public Affairs Department. In 1979, Mr. Ware was named Vice President of Growth Markets/Consumer Affairs with Coca-Cola USA; and served in that capacity until March 1982, when he was appointed to his current position.

Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Ware served as Director of Family and Community Services and as Deputy Director of Urban Redevelopment at the Atlanta Housing Authority. He also served as Director of Housing for the Urban League of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Ware is a former member of the Atlanta City Council and served as its president from 1976 to 1979.

Mr. Ware is a member of the Boards of Georgia Power Company, Gammon Theological Seminary, Georgia State University Foundation, Economic Opportunity Atlanta, Atlanta Business League, Leadership Georgia, and the Jackie Robinson Foundation.

He received his B.A. degree from Clark College; and has studied at Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia State University, and The University of Pittsburgh where he received his Masters in Public Administration.

Mr. Ware is a Senior Life Member of the NAACP and a member of the Ben Hill United Methodist Church. He is the recipient of numerous civic and professional awards among which are Man of the Year, and one of the Ten Outstanding Young People of Atlanta in 1977.

DONALD F. MCHENRY Board of Directors The Coca-Cola Co. 

Donald F. McHenry, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, is the lone black on the board of directors. While shaping the Coca-Cola Company's corporate policy, McHenry also serves as university research professor of diplomacy and international affairs at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He is also co-founder of the consulting firm, International Relations Consultants, Inc., which has headquarters in New York and in Washington, D.C.
