OBJECTIVES

To provide A.M.E. Zion Church lay persons an opportunity for improving effectiveness in church and community leadership through a program designed to:

1. Teach positive leadership for purposeful action.

2. Provide greater knowledge of the structure and function of the structure and function of the A.M.E. Zion Church and the place of Lay persons in it.

3. Provide knowledge which will increase the effectiveness of the Church as a functioning institution in the community and the world.

4. Develop understanding and practice skills in Christian witness, leadership, human relations, and stewardship.

5. Stimulate such an attitude and atmosphere in our endeavors that others "will take notice" and say: "Here Am I, Send Me."
