The 1984 Louisiana Exposition dazzles the imagination with a wonderland of fact and fantasy in its 82-acre setting along the banks of the Mississippi River. Just walk five minutes from the heart of New Orleans and huge images of mythical river gods from around the world pose in welcome, guiding the visitor into the World's Faire. An intricate network of lagoons, streams and aqueducts will course through the site and an exciting variety of architectural styles will stimulate the eye and the imagination.
Along the Mississippi River itself will be the pavilions of the many international participants and the United States, the host nation. International exhibitors, including the Vatican's pavilion of art treasures, will present a stunning variety of mankind's cultural, scientific, and economic breakthrough. Daily arrival of ships from faraway ports, docking alongside these pavilions, will be a constant reminder of the Fair's theme. And touring the site, along with our millions of visitors, will be influential world figures visiting their nation's festivals and competitions.

In the center of the site, corporate and state exhibits will captivate the attention of the visitor as he enters the enormous 15-acre Exhibition Center and enjoys a boat-ride through the exciting pavilion designed by the host state of Louisiana. Overhead, monorail will glide in from the outdoors, giving passengers a fascinating glimpse of both interior and exterior spaces. Throughout the Fair, visitors will experience an everchanging array of amusements and performances. Entertainers of international stature will appear daily in the Fair's many performance areas and troupes of musicians, actors, acrobats, dancers and artists will journey round the Fair, diverting visitors. a fantastic array of foods, beverages and merchandise will be an integral part of the Fair, giving our visitors an opportunity to sample native Louisiana cuisine, foods from around the world and treats and tidbits to satisfy anyone's appetite. Things to see, things to do, things to watch, appreciate and learn from, multiplied by a lifetime of excitement, await the visitor to the 1984 World's Fair, and will last a lifetime in the minds of millions.
