$1,000 to LYNCHBURG COVENANT FELLOWSHIP NATIONAL SERVICE AWARDS

The three year old Lynchburg Hilton was the setting for the twenty-third conclave of Chums, Inc. October 20-23, 1983. The beautiful city of Lynchburg, Virginia; city of Seven Hills, attracted over 400 Chums and their escorts. (Hums).

Delegates from 26 chapters of Chums were extended the warm hospitality of local Lynchburg members. Activities were social and business beginning with a champagne sip; at which greetings were extended to all visiting Chums and invited guests by Chum Linda Arnold. Chum Arnold who took office in April 83 is one of two black registrar out of 136 registrars in the State of Virginia.

The National President, Ruth Harvey Charity of Danville, Virginia presided over the business meetings. The agenda included a Memorial service for deceased Chums, Hums or other family members.
