NATIONAL WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT, INC.

JULY 11-14/HOUSTON, TEXAS

The Hyatt Regency-Houston Hotel will serve as the convening site for National Women of Achievement's 1985 National Convention.

Dr. Maudest Walls Stewart of Houston, Texas is the founder and National President, with Dr. Carrie F. Davis of Chicago, Illinois as National Coordinator and Hazel B. Webster of Houston as Chairperson with Lillie J. Fontenot of Houston as Co-Chairperson of the 1985 National Convention.

The theme of this year's convention will be "WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT FULFILLING A VITAL NEED FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP". Some 300 delegates and guests will attend the Houston Convention.

Founded in Houston, Texas in 1975 NWOA is committed to encouraging women and young to strive for excellence in academic pursuits; to maintain high moral and ethical standards; and to make outstanding contributions in the fields of medicine, law, business, politics, music, religion, nursing, education, dentistry and career fields of their choice.

At the 1985 National Convention, The Maudest Walls Stewart Award will be presented to an achiever, who has contributed to the growth and development of the organization. Women who have made outstanding contributions to the community and humanity will be inducted into NWOA's HALL OF FAME at the 1985 Convention.
