Detroit, who waved his baton in front of a 50 piece symphony orchestra which features Avis Andrews, a beautiful black singer.

Fletcher Henderson, Don Redmon, Eubie Blake and his partner, Noble Sissle. Shelton Brooks, who wrote "Some of These Days" for Sophie Tucker. 

Then there was Buddy Johnson from South Carolina who presented a singer named Arthur Prysock.

Among the Vaudevillians who came out of TOBA circuit were Ethel Waters, the Smith girls (Mamie, Bessie) Lil Green, Eddie Anderson (Rochester) who was Ted Lewis Shadow on the White stage before hooking up with Jack Benny for TV and movies; Clarence Muse, who later went like Rochester to Hollywood; Buck and Bubbles, Adele Hall; Florence Mills, Minto Cato; Juanita Hall, and Hall Johnson.
