Dear Mr. Patrick:

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to you for making the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Fourteenth Annual Legislative Weekend our most successful. We trust that the content and substance of the weekend met your expectations.

The Foundation has grown since it began hosting the Legislative Weekend in 1982. Our accomplishments include the purchase of a new permanent home, in the historic Capitol Hill district of Washington, D.C., transformation of our Graduate Legislative Intern Program into a research oriented Fellows Program and the inauguration of the Distinguished Scholars Lecture Series. In addition, the Foundation has reinstated its newsletter, "Point of View" which is a quarterly publication available on a subscription basis.

Our goal is to become a source of information and education on public policy issues that impact on the lives of Black Americans and other minorities. The need for the information is critical and the demand for it is increasing at an overwhelming rate. However, through t the continued support and interest demonstrated by you, our goals will be obtained.

We hope you will be able to join us again next year. Mark your calendar for September 25-29, 1985.

Again, thank you for all your support and encouragement.

Sincerely yours,

Louis Stokes
