The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. is devoted to helping Black women enter into and succeed in business and the professions. We work through our member clubs in the United States and abroad, conducting programs independently and cooperatively with other organizations for our mutual advancement.

Celebrating fifty years of Black working women working together to help others, we are focusing on both national and international projects. The major venture of the NANBPWC, Inc. is the Economic Development Corporation. This is the vehicle thru which united Black women will become joint business owners. We are well on our way of raising seed money and hope to issue stock in the Economic Development Corporation to all our members this year.

We continue our Wells in Cameroon project, of raising money to purchase wells through CARE - a small effort towards a long term solution to economic problems in Africa. The drought intensified problems for several nations.

We join others in working against apartheid in South Africa and elsewhere, mindful that freedom demands equality.

The rise in teenage parents, infant mortality, povery [[poverty]] crime and overt racism force us to address the issues facing us daily at home. All business and professional women's clubs are asked to give priority to local health, education and economic development concerns and to work cooperatively with other organizations to effect change.

Sojourner Truth is quoted as having said: "If Eve, the first woman God ever made, could turn this world upside down alone, the women of today, working together, can turn it right side up again."

That's what NANBPWC, Inc. members are about!
