GREETINGS!

It is indeed a pleasure to extend GREETINGS from the Officers and Members of the Executive Board of the Harlem Unit of the American Cancer Society and to welcome you to this Annual Luncheon.

This occasion has special meaning for the Board because it underscores the deep commitment of many friends and supporters who have made it possible for the Harlem Unit to celebrate its achievements.

The Executive Board is justifiably proud of the growth of the Harlem Unit and equally as proud of the increasing responses from the community in recognition of the activities and well needed services dispensed by this Unit.

We look forward to improvements in the future and with your cooperation and assistance, we know we will attain our goals.

Our pride also embraces this Annual Luncheon Event which, as you know, is personalized as the Dr. Robert Wilson Kitchen, Jr. Award Luncheon. This is in tribute to Dr. Robert Wilson Kitchen, Jr. for the leadership role he assumed, worldwide, over many years and for his extraordinary contribution of time, energy, creativity and resourcesfulness which have proved to be of immeasurable value.

This year's luncheon will also launch the Melvin C. Patrick Public Education Award -- named for a man whose statue and service stood for high ideals and good deeds. Within the context of this tribute, we are most pleased to have this Annual Luncheon serve as a focal point in our Special Salute to outstanding individuals to receive our designated awards.

The Executive Board takes this opportunity to thank the sponsors, patrons, donors, guests, models and all others who played a major role in this Annual Luncheon and in the continued development of the Harlem Unit.

Thank you - ALL. Do enjoy the afternoon.

All best wishes,

Audraine Wilson
