I have the honor respectfully to state that Leut Buck Assistant Commissary of Subsistance, having reported all Fremonts Mills Engines &c in his possession to the Chief C. S. of Military Division Dept of the Gulf for his disposition, declines to transfer them to Freedmens, Bureau on G. O. 101 US Dept of the Gulf. but recommends that I take possession of them, until he can receive orders relative thereto.

I have accordingly taken possession of the herein after described Property and agreeable to instructions from the Office of Asst Commissioner, I am advertising for Proposals for the renting of the same until 1st January 1866, concluding they could not be rented for a less time.
