The son of the woman (wounded) the man that reported the case to me, wished to remain at his home on the place, to take care of her, until she recovered or died, but has been driven off by Mr. Riley and came to my office last night.

I have the honor to recommend that some action be taken, with reference to the case immediately, that the statement of the Woman may be secured.
