Up 5.30
Went out to field and stood around.

Went to Pistol range in afternoon and did my first 20 rounds with an automatic.

Cadet Minstrel in the evening. Clark and I got poor seats. Bugs was so drunk he couldn't draw a bow. Hunt as endman. The roller skating stunt the quartette and Prinz were features.

Bugs stage a show in the barracks after the minstrel on the strength of Cumile & Benedictine Moy also does his share to bring joy.

Friday, April 5, 1918

Signed up first thing on the pistol range. Then went to Traps and made a score of 5 out of 25 shooting clay pidgeons.

In the P.M. I again visit the traps score 2 out of 25.
 
Major Hartney lectures the Flying Officers and Cadets of Issoudun. His subject was Fighting at the Front in the Air. or something like that. He was much enjoyed Lecture delivered at the Croix Rouge.
