Monday, April 8, 1918

Train. Headquarters lost my lashé slip since Saturday so I had to get a duplicate I got my own and Clark's. No chance of Flying in morning. My checkbook comes from Farme's Loan. Registered letter.

Got off on the 23 Singles Did air work and had forced landing in Rouleur field. When I reported to Field 4 18 meters. I gave the Lieut in charge three little wild flowers. Went up did "some landings. Split-assed over field to east of Camp and was called Mad by French Monitor. Created some talk.

Tuesday, April, 1918

Up a little late. Missed my turn - Worse luck!

Finally got 625 Had switch and [[strikethrough]] Carbure [[/strikethrough]] magneto fixed Put in about 15 landings Lashéd to Field 5.
 
At 130 Gunn Elliot Wanamaker Vasconncells & I came over to field #5. after goodby to fellows left behind. They fly 15 metres with 80 hp engines here. Part of the course is stunting. 

Watch MacElvain cheval and break a wing Poor kid. He now owes Rucker a Champaïgn supper so he says. 

Wonderful supper to night. Taps just sounded.
