Sunday, April 14, 1918

Up to late for date with Dentist. Rainy-weather like Texas during a Norther. MacArthur still down at Chateauroux.

We're going to have a musical this evening and Major Somebody is coming over to enjoy it.

Letters from Peg Paul, Ditchmund, Bill E.

Talk to Lt. Tinney Wingate and Manchester for awhile.

Duggan Bugs Raymond Ordway and others make some gladsome melodies which cause us all to think of home.

Our camp is certainly a remarkable little community of Americans out here in the mud several miles from anywhere.

Monday, April 15, 1918

Rain yet not still. MacArthur still at Chateauroux. Having a lovely little week end. I suppose 

Classes - I missed the first class by being late so couldn't attend the Topography #2

Got permission to go over to main camp to purchase at Q.M. Bought a pr. of British Field shoes pr. wool & pr. leather gloves pr. of underdrawers and two pr. sox and a colapsible basin. Borrow 50 frs from Schmitt temporarily till I can get a check cashed.

Wrote Bill Eddy a short letter. 

Entertainment by a YMCA party two girls and a baritone. Concert was given in the 3rd Hangar. Place decorated with a platform
