Paris Hotel Richmond

Thursday, May 2, 1918

Slept to 1030 MacA got up fairly early and went out to take a morning walk in the Jardin de Tuilleries Took lunch after a walk at a Duval Restaurant on the Rivoli.  In the afternoon  Met Schmitt in cyclecar who takes me to the bank Find the new location fine. Supper with 27 at Pyramides then took in grand opéra. Went back to hotel and found a note from MacA.  Hill & Clapp who had adjoining room didn't spend much of the night in. MacA comes in and tells me that we are moving to the Hotel Richmond where Major Hartney & Bonell are staying.

Friday, May 3, 1918

Last nights Grand Opera certainly was fine They gave us Guillaume Tell in fine style. The applause was not remarkable 

Took MacA cold shower this morning as he shied it.  

Major Hartney took MacA Jerry and I went around to the Nieuport Factory where we saw Norton and some 28's in the making Passed [[image - 4 stars in a rectangle: general's shoulder patches]] General Pershing's car  He was not in it. Then out to Villecoubrey [[Villacoublay]] where we saw a wonderful collection of planes. Vickers scouts, Albatross, Bleriot Bomber Samson, Nieuport 28 Hun Bombers. Did some shopping in P.M. Mac's friend Mac & I go caféing.
