I got up about 900. After breakfast I went out to Lynchville and helped Ken set some of his furniture up. In the afternoon I cleaned up the car and also tried to take some pictures of birds, with no success. In the evening I picked Jake up about 800 and we went to the burg. H.B. was ready when we got there. When we got back to St. Marys I picked up Rita May and we went up to Smiths house. It was a surprise party for Jerry Smith. We all chipped a buck and bough him a lounging robe and a pair of gloves. There were about twenty six or eight people there We had a very good lunch of meat balls and spegittee. I took Alice Streasley[?] and Rita May and Helen Beth home Left Jake [[strikethrough]] off [[/strikethrough]] and Ed off. I went to bed about 200.
