Tues
Wea. Snow Wind MARCH 18 Ther. 10

I worked four and a half hours from. 8 to 1.0. About two o'clock Geo Madora, Daddy and I went to Clearfield. After finding that there were no openings in the Signal Corp I desided [sic] to enlist in the U.S.A. Air Corp. I was given some papers to be filled out by the Chief of Police and some man who knew me very well. From Clearfield we went to Dubois and went thru Station WCED. A very small but modern station. We arrived in St Margo about 5:00. In the evening I had Bill Gastz fill out one of my papers and I discovered he cannot read, write or spell. I met Clayton at the Boys Club. Had a snack at Gormans and went to bed about 12:15.
