Wed
Wea. Snow Wind MARCH 19 Ther. 20

I worked eight and a half hrs. from 8 to 5. Took some pictures at the plant. After supper I took some portraits of the family. I paid Dr. Black a visit and told him my intentions and he thought that I was doing the right thing. Mr Abbott filled out the other form and he gave me a very good recomendation [sic]. I met Clayton at the Bay Club and we look at some of his negs. We then came up to the house and developed some of my negs of the big fire at the Schamut. The round house and the shops and also three engins [sic] burned. The biggest fire in the history of Elk County. The portraits were terrible. I retired about 12:00.
