I got up about 6:05 After cleaning up I had breakfast. We went down to the hospital for another short arm inspection. After dinner we had gas mask drill again. I got a package from Ed and Jake. They sent me a box of candy, one two lb egg, one half pound and one quarter pound egg. A half dozen of oranges and a half dozen apples, a package of cookies, a can of cashews nuts, and two packs of gum. I sure appreciate this present from them. Some day I'll try to repay them. Boy! was it hot today. I got a letter from home. I got a hair cut for the first time by a barber. I took a shower, shaved and then wrote some letters. Talked with Fairfield near bank until 10:30.
