I got up at 5:55. After cleaning up I had breakfast. We went on rations today but I hardly noticed any difference in the food. I had latrine duty today. After finishing latrine duty I got dressed and got paid. I received $23.71. I got a package from home and also a picture of Joan which is swell. After dinner I went over to the 18R hanger and tried to get a ride. Bob Sercumb and I got a ride on a B18A Dogulas Bomber from the 18R No 1. We took off at 1:25 and returned at 3:25. We went from Langley Field to Richmond and back to the field and from there down to Norfolk passing over Hampton and New Port News. I sure was a great trip. I was in the rear gun turret. Went to the show and got to bed 9:30.
