I got up at 5:15 and after cleaning up I had breakfast.I then got dressed in full uniform and we went up to the base ball diamond and drilled for two hours. We had thee lieutenants drilling us. We waited for Colonnel Goldburg to give us a lecture but he didn't show up. During the afternoon I read some stories and roasted in the heat. The heat was terrific. After supper Sykes, Murrell and I want down to the service club where we wrote some letters. A terrific wind storm came up and upset several boats out on the bay. All the M.P.s were called out for special duty. Double guards were stationed all over the field. Something big is going on. I came back to the hanger and went to bed about 10:30 P.M.
