Tues.
Wea. Clear June 17 Ther. 90

I got up at 6:30 and after cleaning up I had breakfast. During the morning I was on a pick up detail. We had to pick up all trash around the barracks. After lunch we did the same thing but I got a terrific headache and went to the hospital. I went to sleep and when I woke up my headache was gone. About six-thirty I went over to the U. of M to start class. We didn't have enough men to start a class in Chemistry so we left early. The G.I. trucks left at 9:30 so Bob Smith and I decided to walk or bum back. After walking about a mile a car stopped and picked us up. After being introduced to the Stanton's we went up to their house for lunch. Mr. Stanton brought us out to the field around 11:00. They are very friendly people.
