NOVEMBER 2

I got up at 8:30 A.M. and after washing up I went over to Times Square to mass but the priest was unable to make it so I got dressed in O.D's and went into town to the school auditorium where mass was held. After dinner I helped clear some brush out of the woods for the 109 Observation Sq., who are coming in today. I ate early chow and got ready for a church supper at Carthage, N.C. I sang in the choir during service. I'm ashamed of myself for flirting with a brunett all during church. Later we went down to the basement where we had refreshments. After which we went to the social center to get acquainted with the young women. I met two very nice typical southern brunetts. Maynard + the girls + I spent the evening playing chinese checkers. I was in a happy frame of mind on the way back when we came upon a wreck where a medical soldier was killed. The car overturned and threw him thru the roof.
