Wea. clear   November 10   Ther. 31-62

I got up at 6:00A.M and after blowing the usual calls I had breakfast. Lt. [[unreadable]] was sick today so he told Maynard and I to lay low until later. We spent the morning studying and the afternoon getting wood in the woods. Today the Marines came in in Grummond [[?]] mid-wing ships, 16 in all. After supper I wrote to Julie and then filled in this diary. God, is it cold tonight, the stove hardly keeps the tent warm. Bed 9:30
