Saturday
Wea. Clear NOVEMBER 29 Ther. 30-70

I got up at 6:15 and after roll call had breakfast. Lt. Clark gave us a pep talk and then we started to take down the tents and clean up. All tents were taken down except six which were left up for the 24 men staying, of which I am one. During the afternoon I took my G.I. ? test. I passed and received my permit. All the men are sleeping out in the open but Dixie and I slept in the Sub Air-Base Headquarters tent. Maynard is going back with the first group. I went to bed about 8:30 P.M. I have a terrible cold. I can hardly breathe through my nose.
