We passed through Richmond about three. I had about an hours sleep all the way. We stopped for lunch at Ft. Belvour in Va. Capt Cutler left us take the Staff car and go to Washington D.C. Dixie took [[?]], [[?]] and I along to his home where we met his Aunt, Grandmother and Mary Louis Skinner. We had a swell lunch and then went to meet the Convoy at the Jeffersons [[strikethrough]] barracks [[/strikethrough]] Memorial. Wash. sure is a grand city and the people I met there are just as nice. We then left D.C. about 1240E for Ft Dix, N.J. Went through Phila, Newark, Trenton and to Ft Dix. Slept on the floor with one blanket Bed 2130E. Very tired. Traveled about 650 miles in 24 hrs.

Transcription Notes:
Does he write Jeffersons Memorial with an s and no apostrophe or is it Jefferson's?
