Up at 1030A. Chaplin McDwyer left for the States and no one is to replace him so the RCA7 chaplin had our mass at 1100A. Last night a Fortress crashed when they left for Ireland. So after dinner we Tater, Halat & I took some pictures of it. From there we went down to the Prince Edward Island Hilander's where they held a reception for Joan Blondell. The Bag Pipers Band had on their Kilts and they led the parade. It was very colorful so I shot about a dozen Kodachromes. I had very poor light but I tried my best. I also took some more flashes at the Sergeants Club where they held a party for Joan. She left about 1600A but I stayed for supper. The food was poor compared to ours. For desert we had a few slices of peaches enough for a mouth full. I walked back and then went to the show. "Across the [[strikethrough]] Atlantic [[/strikethrough]] Pacific" Fair. Then developed 3 film packs at the lab. All Scallans are out of focus again. Bed 2400A.

Transcription Notes:
