THER. 38

Up at 0430A. I was going to get the train out but it was a half a day late so I took the T.CA transport out at 1040A. Cost $15.50 Arrived at Torbay by 1130A. Got a bunk at the 8th Airways and then I cleaned up and went down to the lab where I met Mary, Ken, Vern and the whole gang. It was wonderful to see Mary again. She ask me up to supper and canceled a dancing date for tonight just because I came down. Mr. Noris went back to White Bay but the rest of the family gave me a real welcome. Mr. Coshin (uncle Peter) is home again. After supper Mary & I went to the "Star" and saw "Commander Strikes at dawn." Both of us were a little shy at first but when we got back home she came so close and I held her so tight that as if my life depended on it. We danced for about an hour and I held Mary close and with more tenderness then I've ever held another person in my life but she still shied away when I tried to kiss her. [[cut off]]
