1 suit of special wind & wet proof clothes, made to order. with hood. 1 Camel's hair jacket. 2 suits Jaeger underwear. 1 Jaeger fleece cap, Dr. Nauru style. 1 Iceland shirt. 3 pairs rein skin mittens 5 pairs woollen [[woolen]] mittens 1 pair dog skin mittens or gloves. 1 pair Vadmel (heavy woolen) trousers. snow glasses, etc., etc., and, of course, one heavy sleeping bag of best rein-skin. We have so far alway, had enough to eat, & I have heard no complaints. Every man that uses it has been given a good supply of tobacco. We have good boats & slides & skis & and all that. We have one good tent, which we made here. My original plan was to take a larger boat on the sledge journey, with 6 men, & to live in [strikethrough] a [/strikethrough] it, with a tight cover over. But taking only a canoe we had to make a tent, for which I brought the materials. It is a much larger & warmer tent than Dr. N. had on his journey.
