Contract
between Capt. S. Bonnevre of Laurvik as per authority of Consul Andrew Aagaard at Tromsø and Capt A. Slökken, master of the sealfishing steamer "Capella" of Göteborg, concerning searching for and bringing back the Wellman expedition from Franz Josefs land in the summer 1899.

Captain Slökken pledges himself- subject to ices permitting it- to go in search for Wellman's expedition at Cape Flora, and he receives therefore £100- one hundred pounds sterling, and £200- two hundred pounds- in addition, if the expedition be found there; if not, he has to look for the expedition at Hooker-Island; if so, he receives £150 (instead of 100) with additional £200 if the expedition be found there. If not found at any of these places, the captain has to go to Cape Thegetoff against a payment of £200 - two hundred pounds (instead of 100 of 150) and additional £200, if the expedition be found.-

Captain is obliged to search for the expedition till ultimo August if convenient. The members of the expedition keep themselves with provisions; if they want some of the provisions of the ship, they have to pay therefore.

The captain is obliged to disembark the expedition at Tromsø or a Norwegian harbour north of Tromsø at captains option.

Transcription Notes:

I couldn't find anything that looked like Snooker Island in the list of islands in Franz Josef land: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Franz_Josef_Land#List_of_Islands Hooker Island - central island of Franz Josef Land - Russian
