Capt. T. Bonerie writes me in letter of 15th April 1899 ins. as follows:

As to the american gentlemen, who wished to meet Mr. Wellman, it is very difficult to say where he would be stationed. If Capella gets nearly fill cargo at Greenland, she will surely go to Dundee to discharge her cargo there. But if the seal and bottlenose fishing be not successfull, so that ship only gets half or thereabout cargo, then it was the Captains intention to go to Vardo, discharging part of cargo there, and from there to go directly to Franz Josefs Land. As soon as I hear something from the Capella, I shall at once telegraf to you but it can scarcely be before the end of May or in June. If it is so very important for the American genteleman to go with the Capella, I think Fromso would be the best place to stay, as it lays in the middle between Dundee and Vardo, but even then it is very uncertain, if he can reach the Capella, her stay at any of the places, especially at Vardo being very short.
