142 East 18th Street New York City Dear brother Arthur, I have thought of you many times, and have meant to write and was glad to get your letter. I have been down in Virginia for nearly a year. I went last September and stayed until the latter part of May. Then I came up to New York for a week and then up to Newport Connecticut for two months. [[ ? ]] has been in Italy and I was out in their country place until she came home. Now Ruth and I are in their city apartment for the summer. Ruth still works in the New York Public Library and is getting along splendidly. She is at
