P.S. Give the husband my very best regards. Am sending the smile that way just in case you have a good attic or an old trunk.

Mr. Earl Gilmore,
Gilmore Oil Company,
Los Angeles, California.

Dear Mr. Gilmore:

I have had the pleasure during the past few days of hearing your aviation representative, Mary Charles, speak before Santa Monica Bay Women's Club. Not knowing that you had recently selected a woman representative in this field, I heartily commend your choice. We have known and admired Mary Charles for several years not only as a pilot but as a person of exemplary character and I am happy to pledge the cooperation of our organization toward her success.

On November 10th and 11th the city of Fresno is staging an extensive air program as part of a three day Armistice celebration. Our Club is expecting to be represented by eight or ten pilots who will take part in the air events, and who will leave Los Angeles on the morning of November 10th. Thirteen cities are combining in this celebration and two state conventions are meeting in Fresno at the same time. We feel that you would benefit by having a representative present at this aviation program and we shall be very happy to have Mary accompany us as such.

Yours very truly,

Gladys O'Donnell.
