January 9th, 1934.

Dear Mrs. Cartwright:

Hans Waegen has just told me that you would like to have a pair of candlesticks to put on your table.

I am sorry to say that these are the only ones which we have here, available at present and I am very pleased to send them over to you, if you can use them for the purpose you have in mind.

Should they not fit, please have no hesitation about returning them.

Believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
