Exhibitions to be circulated beginning October, 1931, and through the ensuing season

American

1. Survey of American Painting
35 oil paintings by representative American painters from Smibert to the present day.

2. American Scenes and Subjects
45 paintings, oil and watercolors, which interpret American life and are American in feeling. In this exhibition it is planned to disregard the nationality of the artist and consider only the subject matter of the painting. (Accompanied by 25 prints.)

3. Seascapes
40 seascapes, oils and watercolors, including examples by Winslow Homer, Jonas Lie, Robert Henri, George Bellows, Rockwell Kent, Childe Hassam, as well as Thieme, Woodward, Grant, Benson and other seascape painters of today (Accompanied by 25 prints.)

4. Portraits of Young People
35 oil portraits of young people by representative contemporary painters (Accompanied by 25 prints.)

5. Paintings by Woodstock Artists
45 paintings, oils and watercolors, from one of the foremost "artist colonies" in the country. The work of Speicher, Carroll, Graham, Kuniyoshi, Rohland, Rosen, Wheelock, Cramer, Tomlin, etc. (Accompanied by 25 prints.)

6. Moods of the Middle West: Paintings by Illinois, Indiana and Ohio Artists
45 paintings, oils and watercolors, invited from recent exhibitions at the Art Institute of Chicago, the John Herron Art Institute, the Cleveland Museum of Art, etc. (Accompanied by 25 prints.)

7. Watercolors Made by Americans
50 watercolors including the work of Marin, Demuth, Beal, Fiene, Hartman, Schnakenburg, Zorach, Burchfield, Holzhauer, Sprinchorn, Walkowitz, Weston, Costigan, Dickinson, Marsh, etc.

8.--11. Contemporary Art in America
Each of these four exhibitions includes 35 oils and watercolors (approximately two-thirds oils) and 25 prints by representative contemporary American artists. 8 and 9 are conservative in character and 10 and 11 are modern.

X 12. Dutch Painters, Genre, Landscape and Still Life
25 important examples of Dutch painting of the XVII Century, assembled under the supervision of Dr. William R Valentiner, Director of the Detroit Institute of Arts.

13. Little Dutch Masters
40 paintings by lesser known but thoroughly representative Dutch painters, brought to this country from Holland and not before exhibited in America.

14.--15. Petites Tuileries
Each of these exhibitions includes 35 oils and watercolors (approximately two-thirds oils) assembled from the annual Exposition des Tuileries, in Paris. Two members of the Committee on Traveling Exhibitions of the College Art Association, aided by M. Louis Hautecoeur, Director of the Luxembourg Museum, M. Francois Monod, Director of National Museums, and M. Louis Reau, President of the Society of the History of French Art, select the paintings which represent the most interesting work of the French artists of today.

16. The Art of Modern Hungary
40 paintings and 25 examples of sculpture will make up this exhibition. It is one of the outstanding exhibitions to be circulated during the coming season

17. Contemporary Art from Catalunya
40 paintings by contemporary Catalan painters, assembled in Catalunya, and including hitherto unexhibited work by Picasso, Pruna, Miro, etc., assembled from leading Spanish collections.

18. Modern Austrian Painting
This exhibition of 53 oil paintings, watercolors and prints was assembled by Dr. Heinrich Gluck, Carry Hauser, Dr. Anton Reichel, Ludwig Wieden and Franz Zulow under the patronage of Edgar Prochnik, His Excellency Minister of Austria.

19. Sculpture by Rodin
20 pieces of sculpture (first and second casts) and six sketches by the French master.
