The lesson was about Esther and fratriotism - I'm not sure I believe in fratriotism - Socialists say it is only a means to make new work - Everyone brot up in some elusive way the attempt at suiside. The SS. teacher said she was weak - she could not stand what she had thrust on her - Lord it would take lots of courage to do it. Ruth told me about the dance last nite. She got to go - and I didn't. I'm sorry I'm so narrow - and dislike him because he is a "barb" but it does make a difference. I hope he doesn't go back to Ark - just because I do. I have a date with John to-nite. He's so clever - I know I'll act dumb around him. I know he expects me to "neck" - I wouldn't mind to a certain extent - but he talks so much. Ruth has a date with Bill this aft. I've been talking to them, a long time. Talking about the times we've been real drunk. I told about school - Lee and Julian & their generosity - wine champaigne etc.
